I'VE NEVER BEEN HAPPIER!

Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow.
Probably the best week of my life. I've had a lot of those but this one may have taken the cake.

So 2 cool things, we took a fun morning work out to see the sunrise on the coast for what we thought would be Hermana Glovers last day here...... But jokes! She is staying. I am too! ROUND THREE BABY!

Also today we went to the Cathedral in Santiago de Compostela, if you lack knowledge of southern European history I'll explain. It is the finishing place of the famous El Camino a Santiago. Okay that's all I feel like typing right now so just Google it. But it's a BIG DEAL.
How cool is that. I live in the coolest place ever!

I saw the hand of the Lord more in the last week than I think I have in all my life!

First off, with the help of an incredible member her we taught SIX NATIVE GALLEGOS! That may be a new all time high! We taught seven at once! It was insane but so fun! Spaniards are just such a hoot! And one of the men has some real potential, it was incredible to meet someone just so receptive to the spirit! He recognized it in each of the 3 lesson we had with him this week. That's right 3!
This week we also had an investigator come to the baptism of Ariel, a man who the elders here were working with, we invited her a few days prior to be baptized but she doesn't have a date yet. She also is just incredibly receptive to the spirit and we've been helping her to recognize it. At the baptism the spirit was so incredibly strong you could see it in her face that she could feel it. Afterwards she told us she wants to be baptized. So it was an incredible experience all around, aaaaaaaaaaaaand she was incredibly relieved to know that normal members wear pants as well! Haha! I love her. She is fantastic! She is working on her masters degree in bio chemistry so she is super busy all the time. It's so going but going. And that was probably the most powerful experience I've seen on the mission thus far!
Another miracle, our investigator Stephany is a 17 year old girl who was meeting with the hermanas just under a year and was waiting for her 18th birthday to be baptized due to a really rough relationship with her parents. But she and a member here sat down and called them this week and explained how important this is for her and her mom gave her  permission to be baptized! Yayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayaya! We just have to get it in writing and yes she can be baptized! We are so happy because she is really trying her best but just needs the gift of the holy ghost in her life to keep progressing!
I SAW SO MANY MIRACLES. GOD IS DIRECTING THIS WORK.

I am amazed at the miracles we saw this week! Amazed! Humbled and just blown away! The funny thing I keep finding about sacrifice is what little sacrifice is given on our behalf, the Lord acknowledges and pours out blessings to the point it doesn't even feel like a sacrifice. I am amazed with this work. What an opportunity it is to see the spirit changing the lives of the people here!

Now we just get to help them come to church!

My hearts is so full, what a beautiful thing Life is ❤
Love you all!

Sunshine and Clowns

Hello. This week is the end of the transfer.. It went soooooo fast its freaky! But yes I finish training this week! Woop woop!

It was a good week. Yes it's festivo yet again. Story of Spain. Every other week is a holiday. This festivo is called Carnavales. I don't really know what it is but everyone has been wearing costumes around town so that has made contacting real easy. We talked to chickens, pineapples, witches, moms, cats, everything you can think of! So on Friday we are walking down the street and we see a bunch of kids chanting numbers and there is this life-size human doll hanging from a basketball hoop by a noose... burning. Hahaha. So casual. Every time a chunk of ashes would fall the kids would restart counting. So yeah.. That's the holiday. I can't explain anything else... Kinda weird... but it's cool.
We had a ward activity and we dressed up. It was pretty fun and we actually had some menos activos and investigators come to the party. I'll attach some pictures.
We had intercambios this week and I went to Vigo with Hermana Rodriguez. She is from Barcelona and just a stud. It was fantastic, I learned so much from her and it was fun having her help me with my Spanish as well. Also Vigo is the most beautiful place on earth. I'm not kidding. Wow. We took this bus through the countryside and the mountains to a lesson and I was getting a little teary eyed it was soooooooooooooo beautiful, soooooo bus sick, but soooooo worth it. For morning exercises we hiked up to a castle overlooking the city and the ocean. Once again. Casual. It was fantastic.
Our investigators are doing okay. Not much has changed this week. We met a few new cool people but not many people followed through with their appointments. So that's rough. But you know. We just keep working. As I was thinking about the missionaries in the book of Mormon some of them saw the fruits of their labors like ammon and the sons of Mosíah. But there were a lot of missionaries that worked hard, did what they could, kept a good attitude, and never saw the ends of their work, like Samuel the Lamanite, abinadi. Not saying we don't see things happening, no, we see miracles for sure, but I guess you have to do a lot of sowing before you reap! Woop woop! I love sowing! Life is good. Hope you all have a great week!

Hermana Simmons

Hahaha the selfie inception foto.... That is Paula. She is the greatest human I've ever met. She is a little anti establishment but just so good hearted and we are going to be pen pals for life.. But literal pen pals because she hates technology 😂😂😂😂 I love her.

Abrigarse: to coat oneself

Wow it dumped buckets this week! It had been sunny for a few days so we knew something big was coming! We got hit with some great rain storms. One night it hailed so much it looked like everything had a fresh blanket of snow! Haha how magical!

We taught our good friend Marta again. She gets it. She knows the book of Mormon is true and has just been drinking it all up. It's like she finally found something to quench her thirst. She has a baptismal date for the end of the month but she has to find a new job before that can happen. It's hard. We've been looking around town to see if we can help her with the search but it's not easy here! We have been trying to teach her that it is not miracles that bring greater faith but rather faith that brings miracles. We are just fasting and praying! This really is what she needs!

This week we finally got to do some service. A lady we've been trying to help come back to church called us and said hey in stead of meeting today can you come help me move a few things. Bring the elders. So we assembled the crew real quick, put some jeans on a went over there. We thought it would be like a 1 hour thing buuuuuuuut three hours later we had helped her completely moved pisos. We hauled beds, food, a TV, everything down 3 flights of tight little stairs.. Walked it across town and into the new piso. We finished just in time for the hail storm of the century. It was fun to do something a little different. Refreshing!

I can really say I don't know where this week went. It felt like it was three days long! But life is good! It's like walking backwards up an escalator. You can never stop working to stay afloat! But it's a fun little challenge, and you laugh a lot along the way and every day cool people come in and out of your life, and you always miss the bus and get rained on, but go to bed really happy and tired and ready to do it all again the next day!

Life is good. Galicia is wet. The Book of Mormon's true.
